Japanese Invasion notes were popular souvenirs amongst returning U.S. and Australian soldiers as well as the general public in Australia. The demand was so strong that some printers began replicating the notes and selling them as souvenirs in Australia.
Replica notes, such as this one, are rare. After the war a lot of the replicas were discarded, making them more valuable now than the originals. An interesting complement any collection.
